Everybody ready for outdoor season 2026?

The Athletics Team of AC Rumburk hosted a joint season kickoff event on Sunday, April 19, 2026! Many of our Athletic Kids and Teens, along with their parents, were there. And in the end, a few medals—adorned with ribbons in the colors of the Czech flag—were hanging around the necks of our O-SEE young athletes. The Czech organizing team, led by Jan Rein and Martin Nedvidec, shares our passion for supporting our Athletic Kids, and that's what makes our growing partnership so valuable.

Here are a few impressions from the event we were invited to.

This project was funded by the Interreg Saxony-Czech Republic 2021-2027 program (ERN-0766 CZ, Athletics knows no borders):

Lead partner: AC Rumburk zs.

Project partner: O-SEE Sports e. V.

ERDF funding: €10,368.00

The aim of the German-Czech cooperation is to bring together athletes from the border region and beyond, and to provide deeper impetus for sporting cooperation in the border area. In addition to sporting experiences, participants should take away lasting memories and experience the encounter with the "other" as enriching. Personal interaction and, incidentally, learning the other language take center stage – one's own national identity recedes into the background. Furthermore, the organization of these events will strengthen the already existing cordial partnership between the two clubs.
