XTERRA O-SEE Challenge
Lake Olbersdorf · Zittau Mountains Nature Park
What began in 2000 as a spontaneous bet has developed over the years into one of the most important cross-triathlon events in Europe. Five friends jumped into Lake Olbersdorf back then – and thus unknowingly laid the foundation for today's XTERRA O-SEE Challenge.
Since 2004, the O-SEE Challenge has been an integral part of the global XTERRA series and is considered Germany's most renowned and demanding cross triathlon. Year after year, around 1,500 athletes from all over the world compete here – from the international elite field to junior, age group, and beginner competitions. This makes the O-SEE Challenge not only a sporting highlight but also Saxony's most international triathlon event.

But the XTERRA O-SEE Challenge is far more than a competition
It's a sporty summer festival for the whole family. Excitement, emotions and top performances meet nature, community and culture – embedded in the unique backdrop of the Zittau Mountains around Lake Olbersdorf.
International championships, national title races, youth races, and the popular X'Kids Challenge provide a diverse program for athletes, spectators, and guests over three days. Whether ambitious competitive athletes or those experiencing their first triathlon – the O-SEE Challenge uniquely connects generations and performance levels.
The XTERRA O-SEE Challenge stands for sporting challenge, living tradition and true passion – and promises once again this year an unforgettable experience for athletes, partners and fans.
