Review of the team's season highlight

This year's district combined events championship at the Weinaupark Stadium in Zittauwas a successful highlight of the season for our large team. With forty-three athletes, we were strongly represented and were able to demonstrate in many age groups how well-prepared our children and young people are.

In the team competitions, we were particularly impressive in the U12 and U16 categories. The U12 girls took first and third place, while the U12 boys secured first and second place. The U16 boys also achieved first and second place. In the U14 and U10 categories, our teams finished in second and third place, respectively.

Many of our children completed the five disciplines of the all-around competition with great dedication and clean technique. This was reflected in the individual results. Seven of our athletes won gold, nine achieved silver, and six secured bronze. This wide distribution demonstrates the versatility of our young athletes and the effectiveness of our training.

Gold was won by Elsa in the W6, Viktor in the M7, Julia in the W10, Leon in the M10, Tamara in the W12, Juana in the W14 and Franta in the M15 throwing block.

Silver went to Anna in the W6, Frida in the W9, Selma in the W11, Simon in the M11, Fritz in the M12, Leonard in the sprint jump block of the M14, Julius in the running block of the M14, Noah in the sprint jump block of the M15 and Theo in the running block of the M15.

Bronze medals were won by Martha in the W8, Ferdinand in the M10, Katharina in the W11, Lou Ann in the W12, Kay in the M12 and Matteo in the M15 throwing sprint.

Congratulations to everyone. You have shown how versatile you are and how well you can hold your own in a large team.

At the same time, four of our U14 athletes competed in the Three Nations Championships in Liberec. Julius, Marlene, and Justus ran the 800 meters, achieving fast times and winning silver, bronze, and a fifth-place finish, respectively. Margarethe completed the 2000-meter race walk and also earned a silver medal. The Liberec County Athletics Association had prepared a vibrant and well-organized competition that provided our young athletes with valuable experience.

That same evening, three athletes from O-SEE Sports also competed in the 800-meter race in Regensburg. Lucas, Franz, and Sophia faced a high-caliber field and ran courageous races. Their times give them momentum for the upcoming Saxon and German championships.

June 6th was a long and physically intense day that impressively demonstrated how vibrant and high-performing our training group is.
