Asphalt instead of off-road: O-SEE Kids sweep the KnappenMan
Normally, the O-SEE Kids battle their way over roots, meadows, and forest paths – but last weekend, things got serious on smooth asphalt. The 38th Sparkassen KnappenMan place – an age-group competition and the Saxon State Championship in road triathlon.
Apparently, the O-SEE Kids don't care whether the surface is gravel or tarmac – speed is key. Timo kicked things off in the C-level student category: he won his age group and also snagged the Saxony championship title. Outstanding performance, Timo!
In the B category for students, Theresa followed up with a third-place finish in her age group, also becoming Saxony champion. Luise added further glory for O-SEE with 9th place overall and 2nd place at the state level. And while the others were still searching for the transition zone, Yannik had already secured 4th place in his age group – a performance that earned him bronze at the Saxony championships.
In the Schüler A category, Theo proved he's just as good on asphalt: 3rd place overall, runner-up in Saxony. And then there was Tim in the Jugend B category, who won his race convincingly – securing the Saxony championship title. Over a minute ahead of 2nd place – impressive performance!
Three Saxon championship titles, two runner-up titles and another podium finish later, it's clear: The O-SEE Kids apparently feel at home everywhere – whether off-road or on the road.
Congratulations to Timo, Theresa, Luise, Yannik, Theo and Tim – you really heated things up on the asphalt!
The penultimate competition of the season and also the last competition in the children's ranking: the 32nd Cottbus Triathlon on September 5th, 2026. And here too, podium finishes await the O-SEE Kids!
