League team before restart?
2020: the backstory
In the anniversary year of the O-SEE Challenge, the O-SEE cross triathlon club launched a new project. In cooperation with the road triathlon club EGZ-Triathlon-Görlitz, a few athletes from the cross triathlon ranks came together to try their hand at road racing. In the Oberlausitz league team, the Görlitz triathletes, led by Philipp-Johannes Müller, along with the Zittau-based O-SEE Sports eV, aimed to field two men's teams and one women's team for the league system in Saxony. Triathlon, like any other sport, has various leagues in each German state where athletes can compete. In Saxony, the competition starts with the state league, followed by the regional league, and then the second and first Bundesliga.
The teams participated in competitions spread throughout Saxony.
The season kicked off with the Kamenz Mountain Duathlon on May 3, 2020, followed by the triathlon at the Koberbach Reservoir on June 27, 2020. The athletes had the shortest journey to the Swim'N'Run in Görlitz on July 4, 2020. Later in the year, they competed in the Rochlitz Triathlon on September 6, 2020, and concluded with the Zwickau Triathlon on September 20, 2020.
